Christchurch Hospital is operated by the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It is situated in Fairmile Road in the town of Christchurch in the region of Dorset on the South coast of England. The hospital originated from a workhouse infirmary which was built in 1882.

The outpatient clinics have vastly developed over the years, these now consist of departments in breast oncology, plastic surgery, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, podiatry and medicine for the elderly.  Alongside this are outpatient services for rheumatology and dermatology as well as phlebotomy and palliative care in the Macmillan cancer unit.

Parking charges apply to all except the following:

•     Those who hold a blue badge and own vehicles that are exempt from tax (otherwise blue badge holders should pay for parking)
•     Those patients who are getting treatment for cancer.
•     Parents of guardians of children who are an inpatient at hospital.
•     Relatives of patients who are receiving end of life care.
•     Relative of patients in Intensive Care Unit or in the High Dependency unit.
