Danson Park: Danson Park is one of London’s best open spaces. It features a boating lake, with a boathouse restaurant, and picturesque woodland and green areas. There are events all year round open to the public, including a fireworks night, fairgrounds and circuses, and the Danson Festival.

The Russian Gun: Located at Welling corner, the 36-pound carronade, the same type of weapon used in the 1854-1860 Crimean War, is displayed on a simple wooden replica carriage. The carronade is on loan from the Royal Artillery Museum in Woolwich. It stands as a reminder of Welling’s historic connection with the Royal Arsenal when homes in East Wickham were built for munitions workers in the Great War. 

The Door Hinge Ale House: The first micropub in Greater London, The Door Hinge is located at 11 Welling High Street, DA16  1TR. The pub serves an impressive range of ever-changing real ales from across the country, all served, by gravity, straight from the cask.
