The Great Malvern Priory is a practising Anglican church that has nearly a thousand years of rich history and is one of the superior parish churches in England. The church houses a beautiful stained glass collection, dating from early 15th to the 21st century, has the biggest medieval wall and floor tile assemblage along with 14th and 15th carved misericords. Many music concerts and other events are held in this beautiful church.

The exquisite Priory Park, previously called the Winter Gardens, is overflowing with stunningly mature trees, many of which were planted 150 years previous, at the time where gardens filled with as many exotic trees from all over the world was fashionable. It encompasses a centrally large duck pond including a few bridges. A renovated Victorian bandstand originally built in 1875 is the stage of many Sunday afternoon free performances during the summer months and sits proudly in the grounds.

The most visited and favourite attraction in Malvern is the Malvern Hills that rise soar spectacularly above the plain of the Severn, bordering the counties of both Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Thousands of tourists and visitors come to walk, picnic and bike the prestigious hills with remarkable views across the countryside. The Malvern Hills main walking route along the ridgeline and slopes are relatively steep, however there are still plentiful walks for those who prefer a gentler walk or for disabled individuals who require a wheelchair. By Train:

Malvern has two train stations, Great Malvern and Malvern Link at alternating ends of the town. You can get trains from the following places to Malvern:

• London Paddington (via the Cotswolds line) to Great Malvern direct
• Oxford to Worcester via Malvern
• Birmingham to Hereford via Worcester (stopping at Great Malvern)
• Cheltenham/Gloucester to Great Malvern (direct)

By Bus:

Buses 44B, 338, and 244 are some of the buses that coincide with Malvern and stop in areas within walking distance of many of the attractions.

By Car:

Malvern lies on the stem route of the A449 from Worcester to Ross on Wye.

From the North use the M5 motorway leaving at Junction 7 and follow all signs to Malvern.

From the South on the M5 motorway leaving at Junction 8 to the M50 motorway via Junction and follow signs to Upton Upon Severn on the A38 road, then B4211 straight to Malvern.

On Foot:

Malvern town centre is a short walk from Great Malvern train station.

All car parks in and around Malvern have accessibility for those disabled. Any vehicles that plainly exhibit a valid disabled blue badge holder and time clock, displaying the time of arrival, can park in long stay car parks for 3 hours and short stay car parks for 2 hours. If more time is required, then a valid pay and display ticket must be acquired.
