Parking in White Hart Lane
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Information
White Hart Lane (now called the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) is in the heart of Tottenham and has been home to Tottenham Hotspurs since 1989. The Stadium was demolished in 2017 and replaced with a new stadium called Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs’ new stadium is the second largest club ground in the country following Old Trafford in Manchester.
It is extremely difficult to find parking close to White Hart Lane, given the parking restrictions which are particularly rigorous on Match Days. The area around the stadium lies in a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) meaning that all non-residents parking is forbidden with the exception of those with a disabled Blue Badge parking permit. Road closures also mean that you will not be able to exit car parking facilities within the road closure area for one hour after the final whistle. There will be car parking spaces for disabled fans within the road closure zone, however, those with a Blue Badge will need to both arrive early and leave later than other fans before departing so that they can access these spaces.

Disabled Parking
Did you know that a Blue Badge means that you can park in designated spaces close to popular facilities, often for a longer period of time?
This is the case in much of the borough, however on match days if you are a Blue Badge Holder and do not live within the Traffic Management Zone you will not be permitted access once road closures are in place (2hrs before, during and 1 hour after the event). You can travel into the area before these restrictions are in place and park in a dedicated Blue Badge parking space.
For non-match day parking the normal Blue Badge rules apply. In general, you can use your badge for parking:
- on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours, unless there is a ban on loading or unloading
- at 'on-street' parking meters and pay-and-display machines for free and for as long as you need to
- in disabled parking bays. You can find out which car parks have disabled parking bays by checking the car parks information on the relevant council website.
Where you cannot use it
The Blue Badge is not a licence to park anywhere. If you park where it would cause an obstruction or danger to other road users you could be in for a parking fine, or have your vehicle removed.
Particular places where you must not park include:
- where a ban on loading or unloading is in force
- where parking places are reserved for specific users such as resident’s bays or loading bays
- pedestrian crossings (zebra, pelican, toucan and puffin crossings), including areas marked by zig-zag lines
- clearways (no stopping)
- a bus stop clearway during its hours of operation
- an urban clearway within its hours of operation. You may only pick up or drop off passengers
- school 'keep clear' markings during the hours shown on a yellow no-stopping plate
- Bus, tram or cycle lanes or cycle tracks
- Where there are double white lines in the centre of the road (even if one of the lines is broken)
- Where temporary parking restrictions are in force, as shown by no-waiting cones or temporary signs.
Displaying your badge
Make sure the badge is facing upwards so that the details on the front can be clearly seen and it should be placed on the dashboard.
