Morden is home to the Bait'ul Futuh Mosque, the largest mosque in Western Europe. It opened in 2003 and cost about £5.5 million to build, covering an area of 5.2 acres. It can hold up to 10,000 worshippers at any one time.
Morden Hall Park is a National Trust park, covering 125 acres. The River Wandle runs through the park, and there are over 135 gardens to explore. You can help out at volunteering days, or join the photography group. The rose garden was created in around 1921 and currently has around 1,600 roses in total, and 40 different varieties. There’s even a garden centre so you can take a little greenery home with you.
St Lawrence Church was built in the 1630s and is a Grade I listed building.
