Peel Centre, also known as Hendon Police College, is located in London. It is the training centre of London’s Metropolitan Police Service, and has been a police training college since 1934 except for a brief period through the Second World War. 

The Peel Centre has been redeveloped several times since opening. The Peel Centre itself was named after Sir Robert Peel, and in 1974 was opened by Queen Elizabeth II. The current buildings may be recognised from films such as Hot Fuzz and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. 

It’s location, to the north-west of central London makes it easily accessible by Metro or bus. As it is located close to the city there are also several attractions nearby including the popular Royal Air Force Museum, Brent Reservoir and Middlesex University.

The area around the Peel Centre is residential, with a few apartment buildings and accommodation options. There are also several restaurants, a handful of shops and cafes and other services.

The Peel Centre is located in Colindale, London an urban area with a population of around 20,000. The Royal Air Force Museum is one of London’s most popular attractions and is close to the Peel Centre. Between March and October the museum is open between 10:00am and 5:00pm with last entry at 3:30pm. Between November to February the museum is open between 10:00am and 5:00pm with last entry at 4:30pm. 

The Royal Air Force Museum is known for its interactive exhibits and the real aircraft on display that show the history of aviation. There are also cafes and a gift shop on site and admission is currently free.

Also located near Peel Centre is the Brent Reservoir, also known as the Welsh Harp. There is a sailing centre located on the reservoir, and it is also a popular spot for birdwatching as several species of waterbirds can be found there, and some rare breeds are spotted occasionally.

Middlesex University is also located near Peel Centre. This university offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and is known for its Business & Management Studies course. There are around 16,000 students that attend Middlesex University.

By Train: The Hendon train station is around a half hour walk from Peel Centre. The Thameslink line stops here.

By Bus: Buses 125 and 186 stop on Aerodrome Road near Peel Centre. These buses service the Colindale area. 

By Car: You can enter postcode NW9 5JE in your sat nav to get to Peel Centre. You can also follow Euston Road to the A41 from central London until you find Aerodrome Road.

By Underground: The Colindale Underground station is within a 10-minute walk of the Peel Centre, and services the Northern line. This line links Colindale with the rest of London Including Edgware, Morden and Kennington via Charing Cross.
