Clent Hills Country Park is located in the small town of Clent, about 30 minutes’ drive from the centre of Birmingham. The town has a café and two car parks, walking trails and routes perfect for horse riding. 

Clent Hills Country Park hosts orienteering events, and is a popular spot for kite flying. There is a permanent Geocaching Trail on the hill, and dogs are welcome here too.  

There are a number of iconic locations within Clent Hills, including Rosedene, The Roundhouse, Hanbury Hall and Gardens, Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses, Birmingham Back to Backs, and Knowes Hill.

If you’re looking for parking at Clent Hills, there is an on-site car park available. The Nimmings Wood car park is open daily except for Christmas Day, and opening hours are from 9am to 5pm between March and October, and 9am to 4pm between November and February. Outside of these hours, the car park is locked, and the park cannot be unlocked if you are locked in overnight. 

The car park has a welcome desk, where you can find information about walks through the Clent Hills, pick up a guide for kids, and even take out a National Trust membership. 

The Clent Hills car park is a pay and display car park and is free for National Trust members. Make sure to bring your membership card with you to scan into the machine. For everyone else, there is a charge of £3 for parking for the whole day. 

The Walton Hill car park is about 10 minutes’ walk from the Nimmings Wood car park. It is open 365 days a year and is free for all visitors. 

Coach is only available at the Walton Hill car park and is completely free. Minibuses can park at the Nimmings Wood car park for £3 per day.

By Train: The Hagley train station is a 10-minute drive from the Nimmings Wood café and car park and services the West Midlands Trains line. 

By Bus: Lines 4H, 147, and 318 run by Clent Hills. 

By Car: The Nimmings Wood car park is about 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Clent, and about 30 minutes’ drive from the centre of Birmingham.

The Nimmings Wood car park is open every day except Christmas Day. The Walton Hill car park is open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The Nimmings Wood car park closes and locks overnight. If you get locked in, you won’t be able to get your car out until the car park is unlocked in the morning.
