There is also a trolley service in the wards where you can purchase newspapers and confectionery. There is a Chapel and a Sanctuary on level 7 which are open for prayer and reflection 24 hours a day, as well as Chaplains who visit the wards regularly. 

Scottish Blue offer patient transport services to Ninewells Hospital and other clinics in the Dundee and Broughty Ferry area. This service is available from 9am to 6pm and each day. They will pick up patients from their home and drop them off at the main entrance on James Black Place. This service costs £5 per passenger per trip, and all vehicles are wheelchair accessible and staff will provide patients with any extra support they need.

There is also a shuttle bus service available on weekdays between 9am and 5pm between Car Park 9, the multi-storey car park, and the main entrance. It can also run to and from the East Block, the Maternity/Children’s Hospital, and the Tayside Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Technology Centre by request.

By Train: The Dundee train station is about 7 minutes’ drive from the hospital, and services the Caledonian Sleeper, CrossCountry, LNER and ScotRail lines. The Invergowrie train station is a 20-minute walk from the hospital and services the ScotRail line. 

By Bus: The lines X7 and 39 are a direct connection between Ninewells Hospital and the Perth Royal Infirmary, running every 30 minutes. Lines 73 and X54 also service the hospital and run hourly during the day. 

By Car: The hospital entrance is located on James Arrott Drive, off Ninewells Drive in the Ninewells area of Dundee. 

By Plane: Dundee Airport is about 5 minutes’ drive from the hospital.
