The Woking Leisure Centre is located on Kingfield Road within Woking Park, about 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Woking. Woking is home to about 62,000 people, and is less than an hour’s drive from central London. 

The Woking Leisure Centre recently saw a £1.5 million refurbishment of the gym, so it has all the best modern equipment. The exercise machines have fully-integrated touch screens and can connect to your smart device, plus they can browse the internet so you can keep entertained while you train. It is also home to Woking Weightlifting, which offers specialist Olympic lifting equipment and classes on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm. 

Membership at the Woking Leisure Centre will give you access to access to the gym, studio classes, squash courts, badminton, table tennis, lane swimming, and the leisure lagoon. Plus, you can use the gym, studio classes, badminton and table tennis at Woking Sportsbox for no extra cost. Where is the Woking Leisure Centre located?

The Woking Leisure Centre is located on Kingfield Road in Woking Park, about 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Woking. 

What facilities are there here? 

There is a newly refurbished gym with modern equipment, personal trainers, studio classes, squash courts, table tennis, and a pool with lane swimming and a leisure lagoon, as well as a sports hall with ten badminton courts and five squash courts. There is also a café and store, and the centre also offers catering for children’s birthday parties.

What is there to do nearby?  

Just 20 minutes’ walk from the leisure centre is the Lightbox Museum, where you can enjoy modern art and local history exhibitions. It also hosts events, talks and workshops, and is home to the largest collection of modern British art in the UK. Near the Lightbox is the WWF Living Planet Centre, one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in the UK. This is the home base of the WWF-UK and also has a  visitor area and learning zone for schools. It’s completely free to visit and is open from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays). The New Victoria Theatre can seat up to 1,300 people and has hosted shows from the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and the Peter Hall Company, including plays such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Cats, Chicago, and West Side Story.
