Esher is a town in Surrey, just 40 minutes’ drive from the centre of London. It is home to around 7,000 people and each year it hosts the West End Esher Village Show every August. The show began as a flower show more than 60 years ago, and it has an arts and crafts show, stalls, sports, traditional fairground rides, a dog show, tug of war, silent auction, live music, and classic cars. It also has a charity gala and a ‘Party on the Pond’, which each cost around £20 to get into, but otherwise, the rest of the show is completely free to enter and enjoy. 

An iconic part of the town is Sandown Park, home to the Sandown Park Golf Centre, Sandown Park Racecourse, and Daytona Outdoor Go-Karting. Along the high street, you’ll find restaurants and cafés, a cinema, library, and a pharmacy. The town is also home to the Elmbridge Museum and the Moore Place Golf Course. The Claremont Landscape Garden is just 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of town and is Grade I listed. The garden dates back to the 1700s and welcomes dogs between the 1st of October and the 30th of April. Just be sure to keep them on a lead and pick up after them!
