The SeaCity Museum tells the story of Southampton’s maritime history. It has exhibitions about the port of Southampton and the general history of the city, as well as an exhibition about the Titanic. The ship set sail from Southampton in 19129, and the majority of the crew on board was from Southampton. When she sank, more than 500 households lost a family member. In the park nearby, you’ll find the Titanic Engineers' Memorial.

The foundation for the building was laid out in 1911 and it opened in 1939, before being damaged during the Second World War and closing again until 1946. Southampton Common is the largest open space in the city, stretching over 365 acres. It was first mentioned in a written record back in 1228, although it is possible that it dates back to the town of Hamwic around 500AD. The common was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1998 thanks to its diverse wildlife. It hosts a huge range of events, such as fairs, marathons, circuses, music, and shows.

By Train: The Southampton train station is a 25-minute walk away and services the CrossCountry, G W R, South Western Railway, and Southern lines.
