Eldon garden shopping centre commenced doing business in March 1989 and in November 1989, Princess Margaret publicly opened it.

By Train:

Newcastle Central train station, located centrally (NE1 5DL) is a short 10 minute walk away from Eldon garden.

In Eldon garden car park, there are normal charges in operation on all bank holidays. On Saturdays parking is £2.00 per hour  or £9.00 for the day and then free from 5.00pm to 8.00am. Sundays there is a flat rate charge of £3.00 for the day and parking is free from 6.00pm to 8.00am.

Overnight parking is free from 5.00pm Monday to Saturday and from 6.00pm on Sundays to the following day at 8.00am.
