Opposite our house is metrolink stop to Manchester airport which is pretty handy, exactly 5 stops to get to Manchester airport by tram from our stop (about 7 min journey ).
Tram service runs every 12 minutes. Tram ticket is £1.40 (one way) and you can pay by card/cash at the tram stop.
There is also a bus stop near us ( 1 minute walk) with 24 h bus service to Manchester Airport.
