Leeds City Varieties Music Hall has seen Charlie Chaplin, Marie Lloyd and Houdini tread its boards. Dating back to 1865, it is a rare surviving example of the Victorian music hall, with the original interior remaining largely unaltered. It is best remembered for having been the venue for the BBC television programme The Good Old Days from 1953 to 1983. To this day, it remains popular for film screenings, concerts and variety performances.
