The new model will sit at the top of Citroen's line-up, and will include a plug-in hybrid model.
The C5 X Hybrid will be capable of covering 34 miles on a single charge, and has CO2 emissions rated at 30 g/km, making for a BIK rate of just 11% for company car drivers.
Powered by an 81 kW electric motor and 180hp petrol engine, combined output is 225hp, with the electric motor supported by a 12.4 kWh battery. Other versions come with either a 130hp or 180 hp petrol engine.
Featuring Citroen Advanced Comfort Active Suspension on PHEV models, the C5 X will focus on comfort for a "magic carpet" ride. PHEV models also get three driving modes - Electric, Hybrid, and Sport - with brake energy recuperation helping extend the range from a charge.
Pricing for the C5 X range starts at £26,490, and PHEV models start from £35,190. Orders are open now, with deliveries expected from late spring 2022.
