Hyundai's next generation EV - the Ioniq 5 - has launched in the UK, with a choice of two battery sizes and a maximum range of 300 miles on a charge.
Fitted with either an 58 kWh or 73 kWh pack, the Ioniq 5 can recharge from 10-80% on an ultra-rapid unit in less than 20 minutes.
With a choice of 58 kWh battery with rear-wheel drive, or 78 kWh battery in rear- or all-wheel drive, the Ioniq 5 has a variety of options for customers, with ranges varying froom 240 miles to 300 miles.
A new architecture and 800V system allows for ultra-rapid charging and space inside that is far larger than the exterior dimensions would suggest.
Trim levels will be picked from SE Connect, Premium, and Ultiate, plus the launch edition Project 45 - the concept car on which the Ioniq 5's design is based, almost carbon copy.
