Cupra has released details of its Formentor e-Hybrid, with the plug-in hybrid crossover due to have an electric-only range of up to 34 miles on a charge.
Available in two trim levels, - VZ1 and VZ2 - the Formentor is the flagship model from Seat’s performance brand Cupra. The performance SUV will boast 245 hp in e-Hybrid guise, featuring a 150 hp 1.4 litre petrol engine and 85 kW electric motor.. These stats allow for a 0-62mph time of 7.0 seconds and a top speed of 130mph.
In terms of efficiency, the Formentor e-Hybrid’s 13 kWh battery allows for the above electric driving range in VZ1 trim, and 32 miles in VZ2. Official economy scores come in at 33 g/km CO2 and 188.3 mpg, with charging taking three and a half hours on a 3.6 kW charge point.
Standard specifications include 19-inch alloys, 12-inch infotainment system, LED headlights, USB-C sockets, climate control, digital cockpit, and wireless phone charging. Options available include a Safety and Driving pack, keyless entry and start, parking sensors and rear camera, and dynamic chassis control.
Prices start at £38,625 for the Cupra Formentor e-Hybrid VZ1, and £40,260 for the VZ2. Both are available to configure now on the Cupra website, with order books opening on 16th February.
