Cheshire Oaks was the first designer outlet in Europe on its opening in March 1995, and continues to be the largest designer outlet centre in the UK. It is located in the town of Ellesmere Port in Cheshire in North West England and is the number one destination for shopping in the region.

It is owned by the McArthurGlen Group, a company which creates and operates designer outlet centres. They oversee seven designer outlets in England and 18 across Western Europe.

There are over 150 retailers, which includes restaurants, cafes and boutiques, with plenty of outlet stores of luxury brands. These include fashions brands like Armani, Barbour, Hugo Boss and Diesel. Sports athletic labels in Adidas, Asics, Nike and The North Face and beauty in Mulberry, Molton Brown and Coach.

There is no charge for those visiting the outlet and parking the car in one of the four car parks. Many of which are in close proximity to the shops.

You can pay for premium parking at a charge of £5.00 per day on weekends and bank holidays. This ensures you a reserved car parking space, also you will receive a special premium parking voucher pack. In order to guarantee a premium parking space, bookings need to be made within at least 12 hours of arrival.

Monday to Friday – 10.00am to 8.00pm

Saturday – 10.00am to 7.00pm

Sunday – 10.00am/11.00am to 5.00pm

By Train:

Ellesmere Port train station (CH65 4AR) lies a 10 minute car ride and a 25 minute bus and walk away from Cheshire Oaks. It has direct trains to Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool Central, Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds.

Chester train station (CH1 3NS) a 15 minutes’ drive or a 30 minute bus away from Cheshire Oaks. It has trains going to Liverpool Central, Manchester Piccadilly, Crewe and Holyhead.

Northern Rail will give you access to timetables, prices and planning journeys.

By Bus:

There are plentiful buses in the area of Cheshire.

The National Express runs daily services to Cheshire Oaks from the cities, Manchester, Oldham, Leeds and Bradford.

Daily services run by Stagecoach buses to Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet come from the cities; Chester, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port Town Centre.

The bus number 1 and X1 can be caught at Chester train station and takes you to Cheshire Oaks.

The number X8 is a fast service between Chester City Centre, Chester Rail Station, Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port Town Centre and Rail Station and Liverpool.

By Car:

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is conveniently found in close proximity of the M53 motorway.

From Cheshire exit the M53 at junction 10.

From Manchester use the M56 leaving at junction 15 for the M53 to 'Ellesmere Port'. Then exit the M53 at Junction 10.

From the West and South and West use the M5 and M6 through to Manchester/Liverpool and join the M56.

From London use the M40 to the midlands and join onto the M6 to the North and then join the M56.

By Plane:

28 minute drive and two hour 10 minute bus ride (1 change) from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (L24 1YD).

31 minute drive and two hour five minute bus and train journey from Manchester Airport (M90 1QX).

Both airports have domestic and international flights.

Cheshire Oaks provides 80 disabled parking spaces, which can be found in car parks A,B and C, as well as the multi-storey. These spaces cannot be pre-booked and are available on a first come first serve type of basis.

Parking is free of charge, however, blue badges are still required to be displayed in vehicles at all times whilst parked in the car parks.
