The historic Barrington Court is a 10-minute drive from the centre of Ilminster. It’s an empty Tudor manor house that was restored in the 1920s and has farm buildings, beautiful flowers, and orchards. There are a number of gardens across the estate, as well as a kiosk to get a coffee and a snack, and a store to purchase a souvenir. 

The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are about 10 minutes’ drive from Ilminster.
