The Chessington World of Adventures is a theme park about 40 minutes’ drive out of central London. There are more than 40 rides and attractions, and over 4,000 animals in the Zoo and SEA LIFE centre.
By purchasing tickets in advance, you can save up to 38% on admission, and there are also options for annual passes. The Chessington World of Adventures has the Safari & Azteca Hotel for overnight stays, and you can choose from themed or standard rooms. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can enjoy the rides from 9am, before the park opens at 10am. There is also a bed and breakfast and glamping facilities, as well as a Savannah Splash Pool & Gym, VIP animal experiences, and a wide range of daily events such as talks and animal feedings.
The park also has plenty of restaurants, so you can dig into a burger, pizza, or smoked meat at the BBQ and bar. There are also a number of stores, so you can bring home a souvenir of your trip.

The Chessington North train station is another 15 minutes’ walk from the Chessington South train station, and the cost of parking here is the same as the Chessington South train station.

Nearby Attractions
The Epsom Common was bought by the Epsom Borough Council in 1935, and was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the 1950s. It covers 176 hectares and is open year-round. There are trails for walking and running, cycling, and horse riding. It also welcomes dogs, and you can go fishing in the Stew Pond. There is an annual history walk which takes you on a three-hour walk around the common.
The Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park and Zoo is home to lemurs, parrots, camels, eagles, owls, falcons, meerkats, wallabies, otters, prairie dogs, goats, alpacas, peacocks, and deer. There are play areas for the kids, including an indoor play barn, plus a high ropes course and a Zorbing Arena.
