Cadbury World is a popular tourist attraction located in the historic Bournville village, which is the site of the original 'Factory in a Garden'. Richard and George Cadbury in 1879 chose to relocate their expanding business from Birmingham's City Centre to the countryside only a short 4 miles away.
Mondelez who owns Cadbury is the second largest confectionery manufacturer in the world. Cadbury World first opened on 14th August 1990 and expanded greatly over the years improving the chocolate havens wonderland. It steadily became one of Birmingham’s biggest attractions with well over 500,000 people visiting there every year, especially children and students.
Cadbury world offers 14 different zones which explore the story of the Cadbury business and chocolate through numerous methods such as a multi-sensory cinema, animatronics, static sets, interactive displays and activities and staff chocolate demonstrations. Delve into the history of chocolate, including new Bournville zones and set your taste buds tingling with some chocolate samples. Take a ride on the Cabara, have afternoon chocolate tea in the restaurant and let your children burn off some energy in the African adventure play area.
