Parking charges during winter (1 October to 14 March): £1 for the first hour, £3 1+ hours, and £6 all day for buses/coaches.

Parking for disabled and solo motorcycles is free year-round.

Knap Lake and Gardens: Old school charm meets a Welsh harp-shaped boating lake, with a bevvy of quaint cafes, and access to Barry’s parks; Romilly Park and Victoria Park. This is a great place to soak in the atmosphere, enjoy a stroll, or to take part in the activities.

Nestled in a sheltered valley, at the end of Cold Knap beach, adjacent to spectacular cliffs, with numerous picnic spots and nature trails, and a café, Porthkerry Country Park makes for a great family day out.

The Barry Trail: A trail of 17 prominent Barry women who made a significant contribution to public life. Launched on International Women’s Day 2013, the trail features women like composer Grace Williams and social entrepreneur, Lucy Dickenson, who founded the International development charity, the SAFE Foundation. 

Barry Island: Delight in the beautiful beaches and enjoy attractions for the whole family, Barry Island has events happening throughout the year, making it an increasingly popular place to visit. 

Barry Island Pleasure Park: Situated on the coast at Barry Island this amusement park is open annually at weekends from Easter onwards and daily during the school summer holidays. The park has over 17 fairground rides and attractions.
