Entry to the museum is typically free with donations welcome – a ticket is required for some events, activities, galleries, and special exhibitions. Lates, an adults-only evening event occurs on the last Wednesday of every month (except December), from 6:45pm to 10pm.
Parking at the Science Museum
The Science Museum does not have any parking facilities. There are however a small number of disabled parks on Exhibition Road for Blue Badge holders to use.
The nearest pay and display bays are on Prince Consort Road and Queen's Gate. As Exhibition Road is partly in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and partly in the City of Westminster, some bays on Queen’s Gate have times and tariffs set by the City of Westminster at £3.70 per hour. In the area of Kensington and Chelsea, parking tariffs are set at £4.00 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:30pm. On Saturday, parking tariffs apply either 8:30am to 1:30pm or 6:30pm depending on the location of the bay. Please check the nearest pay and display machine for details.

Getting to Science Museum
By Tube: South Kensington, located on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines, is a 5-minute walk from the Museum. A pedestrian subway connects South Kensington station to the main entrance of the museum. Gloucester Road, a 15-minute walk from the museum, is also on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines.
By Bus: Bus routes 14, 49, 70, 74, 345, 360, 414, 430 and C1 stop outside South Kensington Underground Station. Bus routes 9, 10, 52, 452 and 70 stop outside the Royal Albert Hall on Kensington Gore.
By Bicycle: Bicycle stands are not provided at the museum, however folding bikes can be left in the cloakroom on the ground floor for a nominal fee. Docking stations provided by Transport London Barclays Cycle Hire are outside the museum entrance on Exhibition Road.
Disabled Parking in Science Museum
There are 12 Blue Badge parking bays available outside the Museum on Exhibition Road. Blue Badge holders may park there for four hours between 08.30 and 18.30. London Pavilion Road, NCP Car Park, has 2 designated disabled parks.
