Big Ben is actually a nickname which has been given to the bell of the clock on the Palace of Westminster. However, nowadays it also tends to refer to both the clock and the clock tower. Officially the tower is known as Elizabeth Tower. Prior to 2012 it was known as the Clock Tower.

Big Ben is located right outside Westminster tube station. It's a hugely popular photo spot for tourists, with thousands of visitors passing through the area each day.
